 ERYTHEMA
It is the abnormal redness of the skin resulting from dilation of blood vessels (as in sunburn or inflammation), first degree burn.

ERYTHEMA SOLARE: Is the skin's inflammatory reaction the excessive ultraviolent radiation ( UV) from the sun or tanning beds causing redness (erythema), warmth, pain and sometimes blistering or peeling.

The redness happens because UV rays damage skin cells, triggering immune system to increase blood flow to the affected areas, making the skin red and inflamed. While simple sunburn is a temporary first degree burn, severe solar erythema can also form blisters (a second degree burn) and carries long term risk like skin aging or cancer.

Causes:
* UV radiation: specifically UVB rays from the sun or artificial sources attack the skin cells (Keratinocytes).
* Inflammatory response: Damaged cells release inflammatory substance, causing blood vessels to dilate, leading to redness.

Symptoms:
* Red or reddish skin (that's hot to touch).
* Pain or tenderness.
* Swelling (Edema)
* Peeling or blistering in more severe cases.

Treatment:
Cool/cold compresses, aloe vera and other plant extracts that calms the inflammation and soothes the skin.

Prevention:
* Apply sunscream (apply every 2 hours)
* Protective clothing (when necessary)
