Dull,lifeless and blood_shot eyes are the result of many factors_illness,fatigue,inadequate diet and dryness of the skin. The Cornea appears pinkish or reddish at times due to lack of sleep,too much intake of alcohol .Excess usage makeup products will harm the delicate skin around the eyes.
